Description
A tie rod built for big tires
This is the tie rod from Synergy's 2000-2002 Ram steering kit (8525-02), sold on its own. It is 1-1/2 in. x .188 wall 4130 chromoly, heat treated after forming, and Synergy rates it at roughly twice the strength of the factory bar.
The bend clears the sway bar mounts and lifts the bar about 2 in. higher than stock. A double adjuster sleeve sets toe on the truck, and the greaseable metal-on-metal ends use low-misalignment boots so the bar cannot flop and leave a dead spot in the steering.
