2017-2019 L5P Duramax 4" Intake Kit with Air Box Stage 2

Cooler air, more of it

Wehrli's Stage 2 intake replaces the restrictive plastic factory intake tube, inlet horn and air box on the 2017-2019 L5P with fabricated aluminum parts and a dry filter.

It draws cooler air in through the ram-air duct in the hood and the inner fender, and the large 4 in. tube with smooth bends raises intake air speed and volume. Wehrli says the result is more horsepower and torque, quicker throttle response, cooler intake temperatures and a stronger turbo sound.

The inlet horn is more than an inch larger than the factory horn and removes the restriction just ahead of the turbo. Wehrli measured a 25 hp gain with its larger horn and a max-effort tune.

Wehrli moved the critical ram-air duct seal to the underside of the hood for a cleaner engine bay.

Fitment notes

• Fits 2017-2019 Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD with the 6.6L L5P Duramax.
• Turn off the air filter life monitor in the truck settings; otherwise a service air filter message comes on that a GM service shop has to reset. With the setting right, the filter life shows as disabled.
• California: Wehrli does not ship this part to California.
