Stop axle wrap for good

Wehrli builds its traction bars in-house and warrants them for life, to the original buyer, if a bar bends or breaks. Added power and heavy towing can twist a leaf-spring axle, which leads to broken U-joints and driveshafts and even twisted axle housings; the bars stop that wrap-up.

The axle brackets bolt under the axle tube with the axle U-bolts. At the frame, the mounts bolt on for crew cab short bed trucks and weld on for the others. A rebuildable, greaseable RockJock Johnny Joint at the frame allows adjustment if you raise or lower the rear, and a polyurethane bushing at the axle keeps noise and vibration down. The bars are powder coated over a primer base coat, which Wehrli says gives far better corrosion protection than a single coat.

Owners of 2020-2026 GM 2500/3500 HD Duramax trucks (regular cab long bed, double cab short bed, crew cab short bed) who are adding power or towing heavy.

Fitment notes

• For 2020-2026 Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra HD trucks.
• Double cab long bed and crew cab long bed trucks use WCF100876, as do trucks with a rear lift block over 5 in. or 6 in.+ of total lift.
• If a lift kit flips the U-bolts to face up, use Wehrli kit WCF100854 instead.
• On tall lifts, measure from the axle mount to the frame mount to confirm bar length.
