2023-2026 Ford F250/350 4X4 Diesel 5.5in Backcountry System

Why this system

A stock 2023+ Super Duty diesel is built to carry weight, so unloaded it rides stiff and gets busy on washboard and potholes. Carli's 5.5″ Backcountry system lifts the front 5.5″, adds wheel travel and clears a 37″ tire, while keeping the truck comfortable on the highway and usable for towing and hauling.

Who it's for & where it sits in the Carli lineup

Backcountry is Carli's Carli-SPEC 2.0″ remote-reservoir tier. On the 2023+ Super Duty 5.5″ platform Carli offers Commuter, Backcountry, Pathfinder (Carli-SPEC 2.5″), Pintop (King 2.5″) and Dominator (King 3.0″). Carli positions Backcountry as the budget-minded step above Commuter, for daily drivers that also see gravel roads and slow-to-mid-speed trails. If you plan on faster off-road driving, look at the Pathfinder, Pintop or Dominator tiers.

Key specs (per Carli)

The Carli-SPEC 2.0 shocks use an anodized 6063 aluminum body and a 5/8″ hardened, chrome-plated shaft, and are fully rebuildable. Carli covers them with a 1-year warranty and services them itself.

What's included (base kit)

Plan these before you order (sold separately)

• Front sway bar — required choice. Carli's Torsion Sway Bar (their pick for ride quality) or sway bar drop brackets with extended end links (best for snow plows, in-bed campers or trucks that are always loaded).
• Rear leaf springs — required choice. Carli tunes this system around its Full Progressive leaf springs (rides best; capacity drops to a "light" ¾-ton) or Progressive Add-a-Packs (keeps payload). Carli does not recommend Add-a-Packs on the F-350 or on F-250s with the High-Capacity Tow or Tremor package.
• Optional: Carli rear shackle, long-travel airbags (to restore capacity with the progressive springs), 2° pinion shims (Carli recommends them), fabricated radius arms, low-mount and high-mount steering stabilizers, carrier bearing drop (2-piece driveshafts), Trophy Hitch.

Fitment notes

• Fits 2023–2026 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4×4 with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel.
• Not compatible with Ford Onboard Scales / Smart Hitch. Changing ride height or spring rate interferes with that system.
• Tremor trucks: the same kit gives 3.5″ of lift because the Tremor starts taller.
• Air ride / auto-level: Super Duty has no factory rear air. If you need capacity back with the progressive springs, Carli recommends add-on airbags that can disconnect at the lower mount so you keep full rear travel.
• Steering: the adjustable track bar re-centers the front axle and the caster shims firm up steering feel. Stabilizers are optional.
• Cab / bed: Carli lists no cab or bed limits for this kit.
