A ready-to-run Cummins head

Fleece builds its Freedom Series heads in its own cylinder head machine shop to meet or beat factory specs. Every head is inspected, pressure tested, decked and painted, and it arrives fully assembled and ready to bolt on.

Fleece swaps the factory freeze plugs for 11 screw-in plugs, so the head won't leak coolant under the valve cover. It also gets hardened, oversized press-in valve seats and new valve guide liners.

The Performance head is fire-ringed (the rings are in the head) and rated to 1,100 hp, for the most heavily built trucks, and Fleece supplies the matching fire-ring head gasket kit.

Fitment notes

• Fits 2007.5-2018 Dodge/Ram 2500/3500 with the 6.7L 24-valve Cummins (per Fleece).
• Valve lash must be set during install. Back off the rocker arm adjusters first, or the head will be damaged (per Fleece).
• Use the included Fleece fire-ring gasket kit; Fleece says other aftermarket head gaskets will not work.
• Check that the block deck is flat before installing. Fleece says a fire-ring head should only be installed by an experienced technician.
