The CP4 pump on 2011-and-newer Ford 6.7L Power Strokes is known for failing without warning and taking the high-pressure fuel system with it. S&S and PurePower Technologies (Stanadyne’s aftermarket arm) developed the DCR as a bolt-in replacement with OE fit and function.
The DCR is a two-piston pump with a patented eccentric drive, a pressure-lubricated cam and bushings, and a corrosion-resistant inlet metering valve. It displaces 1,250 mm³ per revolution, 25% more than a CP4.2, and it handles low-lubricity fuel. It needs no ECU calibration and will not add power unless your calibration asks for it. It has to be timed during the install for harmonics. Follow S&S’s instructions.
