Keep the heat in the turbo
Covering the turbine housing cuts underhood temperatures, which helps hoses, wiring and the coolant bottle last longer, and cooler intake air is denser air for more power.
The blanket also keeps turbine housing temperature in and evens it out, for quicker spool.
