Steering that stays tight

This kit swaps the stock drag link and tie rod on 2003-2013 Ram 4x4 trucks for much stronger Synergy parts. Synergy keeps the factory T-style layout, so there is none of the toe change the old Y-style linkage gave and none of the bump steer that many crossover kits bring in. Nothing on the knuckles needs drilling or reaming; it bolts in where the stock parts came out.

The drag link is 1-1/2 in. x .250 wall DOM, bent to clear the factory axle brackets, and works from stock height to about 4 in. of lift; past that you will need a drop pitman arm. The tie rod is 1-1/2 in. x .188 wall 4130 chromoly, heat treated, roughly twice as strong as stock, and sits about 2 in. higher for extra ground clearance. Both use Synergy double adjuster sleeves so you can set length on the truck, plus greaseable metal-on-metal ends with low-misalignment boots that stop tie rod flop and the dead spot it causes.

Fitment notes

• Fits 2003-2013 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 and 2003-2012 Ram 3500 4x4 (also 2006-2008 Ram 1500 Mega Cab 4x4).
• Ram built the 2013 3500 two ways. Early builds have the drag link bolted to the tie rod (T layout); late builds on the radius-arm chassis run the drag link to the knuckle. Confirm yours before you order.
• Late-2013 3500s with crossover steering take Synergy 8725-01 instead.
