Description
Bolts that stay tight
Many aftermarket manifold bolts are much shorter than stock. After many heat cycles they can fatigue and stretch, causing exhaust leaks and sometimes breaking after repeated re-torquing. Their plating can also lead to early corrosion and zinc embrittlement.
BD's kit uses class 10.9 bolts with black oxide spacers for better heat durability, and the fasteners are not zinc plated, so zinc embrittlement isn't a concern.
