Keep the transmission cooler working
Debris can jam the factory transmission cooler bypass valve and hold it in recirculation mode. Transmission temperature then climbs, which can lead to overheating and early transmission failure.
BD's replacement part keeps the cooler in the circuit all the time and does away with that failure-prone valve.
