5.9L Freedom Series Cummins Cylinder Head (Street) Fleece Performance

A ready-to-run Cummins head

Fleece builds its Freedom Series heads in its own cylinder head machine shop to meet or beat factory specs. Every head is inspected, pressure tested, decked and painted, and it arrives fully assembled and ready to bolt on.

Fleece swaps the factory freeze plugs for 11 screw-in plugs, so the head won't leak coolant under the valve cover. It also gets hardened, oversized press-in valve seats and new valve guide liners.

The Street head is aimed at daily drivers and heavy towing and is rated to 700 hp. If your engine will run past factory RPM limits, Fleece says to step up to its Performance head with stiffer valve springs.

Fitment notes

• Fits 2003-2007 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 with the 5.9L 24-valve Cummins (per Fleece).
• Head gasket not included; Fleece recommends Cummins 3958645 or the Fleece FPE-CUMM-HG-5.9.
• Valve lash must be set during install. Back off the rocker arm adjusters first, or the head will be damaged (per Fleece).
• Fleece recommends ARP625 or ARP L19 12 mm head studs for any build over stock power.
• If you run aftermarket head studs, the lower rocker box cover needs modifying; see the ARP install method instructions Fleece references.
