Why replace the factory Y-bridge

The stock L5P Y-bridge is a choke point in the intake tract, and it feeds roughly 70% of the charge air to the driver's side head and only 30% to the passenger side. WCFab's High Flow Y-Bridge opens up the inlet, port-matches it to the throttle valve and balances airflow between both banks. Wehrli rates it at 33% more flow than the OEM part.

On a stock truck you can expect sharper throttle response, quicker turbo spool and lower EGTs when towing. On a built truck with tuning and a bigger turbo, it removes one of the restrictions that keeps the factory intake from supporting higher horsepower.
