Wehrli builds its traction bars in-house and warrants them for life, to the original buyer, if a bar bends or breaks. Added power and heavy towing can twist a leaf-spring axle, which leads to broken U-joints and driveshafts and even twisted axle housings; the bars stop that wrap-up.
The axle brackets bolt under the axle tube with the axle U-bolts; the front mounts can bolt or weld to the frame. A rebuildable, greaseable RockJock Johnny Joint at the frame allows adjustment if you raise or lower the rear, and a polyurethane bushing at the axle keeps noise and vibration down. The bars are powder coated over a primer base coat, which Wehrli says gives far better corrosion protection than a single coat.
