47RE Exchange Valve Body Dodge 1998.5-2002 5.9L Cummins BD Diesel

A better-shifting 47RE

BD modifies, tunes and tests its exchange valve bodies for towing and performance use. This 47RE unit gets more line pressure, a revised manual valve and BD's own separator plate.

BD says the result is better shift quality, more clutch holding capacity and longer transmission life. It also allows lock-up in first and second gear, which helps slow a heavy load on a steep grade (requires BD's AutoLoc or TorqLoc).

Who it's for

Owners of 1998.5-2002 5.9L 24-valve Cummins Rams with the 47RE who tow heavy or have added power.
