BrakeLoc w/Converter Control 1995-2003 Ford 7.3L Automatic Trans BD Diesel

Use the factory valve

BD's BrakeLoc connects to the control wire of the 7.3L's exhaust backpressure valve and turns it into an electronically controlled exhaust brake. It includes BD's AutoLoc to hold lock-up while braking in third and fourth, so all of the retarding force reaches the wheels.

Because the factory valve is hydraulically actuated, expect a 2-3 second delay before braking starts. BD positions BrakeLoc as an economical option, not a replacement for a true exhaust brake; for quicker, stronger braking it recommends a BD exhaust brake.
