BD's fuel pin and governor spring for the VE pump are good for about 30-40 hp and 90-100 lb-ft, and they widen the power band by 30 percent. Installation is fairly simple, takes minimal tools, and BD figures 2-3 hours.
The Chromalloy steel pins are rough milled with a precision radius cut, heat treated to 52 Rockwell, then finish ground, which resists the wear that leads to failure. The 3,200 rpm governor spring extends the rev range by 700 rpm, and a low-profile spacer washer and new throttle shaft O-ring are included.
Owners of 1989-1993 Cummins Dodge trucks wanting more power from the VE pump.
