Quick spool, cooler EGTs

The Super B Single is BD's single-turbo kit for modified 5.9L Cummins trucks making roughly 250-425 rwhp. It uses a BorgWarner Extended Tip compressor wheel (here an FMW billet wheel), low-inertia full-floating journal bearings and BD's own dual-volute turbine housing.

The dual-volute housing uses low-rpm exhaust pulses for quicker turbine response, and a dual-action wastegate bleeds drive pressure off both volutes. A heavy-duty actuator keeps the wastegate from opening early under high exhaust pressure, and BD's adjustable wastegate control lets you tune for temperature and altitude. BD says the result is quick spool-up, cooler EGTs and no compressor surge.
