On the 6.7L Cummins, the cylinders at the back of the block don't get enough coolant flow, so they run hottest. That can build pressure in the back of the block and push out freeze plugs, including the small ones under the valve cover.
Fleece's bypass adds a second thermostat that opens on temperature rather than pressure, keeping all six cylinders at a steady temperature before pressure becomes a problem. It fits like a factory part, and the braided hose with AN O-ring ends keeps the install leak-free.
