ATS TripleLok torque converter

The ATS TripleLok is a multi-disc lock-up torque converter for the 47RH / 47RE / 48RE automatic. ATS builds it for daily driving and towing, and it ships with their 5 year / 500,000 mile warranty.

ATS puts torque multiplication at about 2.0:1 at peak engine torque, compared with roughly 1.25:1 for the factory converter. More multiplication means quicker response off the line and better pull with a trailer.

The front cover is billet with ATS’s patented square-tab flank drive. Square tabs spread the load where round tabs tend to hammer into the cover over time. The turbine and impeller vanes are fully welded and the turbine splines are hardened 4340 steel.
