Description
Put the factory valve to work
BrakeLoc wires to the 7.3L's exhaust backpressure valve control and turns that factory valve into an electronically controlled exhaust brake.
Since the valve is hydraulically actuated, expect about a 2-3 second delay before retarding starts. BD positions BrakeLoc as an economical option, not a substitute for an exhaust brake; for quicker, stronger braking it recommends a BD exhaust brake with Variable Orifice Technology, which won't stick the way the stock valve can.
