Added power and torque from a modified Cummins can crack or break the factory flexplate. BD's FleX-Plate has twice the material of stock and is proven past 2,000 lb-ft, or up to 3,500 lb-ft when paired with BD's Slip Eliminator shim kit.
It is forged billet, precision balanced and SFI approved for racing. A black oxide coating guards against corrosion and the hydrogen embrittlement that leads to cracks. It bolts in where the stock part was and works with any OEM or aftermarket converter, so it makes sense to replace it during a converter or transmission job.
